I loved every single bit of Five Minutes Late. It has become one of my favorite all time books. I think that Ashley and Devon are a fantastic couple. This book is well written with highly developed characters. It is funny, sweet, sexy, at times heartbreaking, and surprising. I honestly did not quite figure out what was happening to Devon until right up until each of the details were revealed. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance. Ashley and Devon were made for each other. This book is extremely long and honestly I could not have been happier. It never stalled for me. I did not want to put it down. It really is an excellent read and you should add it to your collection today.Product details

I have to say that this story surprised me.
This book made me laugh, cry, get anger and most of all sick to my stomach. What Devon went thru as a child with being taken away from his mother, to his abusive father and then his father's death, then into the homes of his abusive and money hunger family truly amazed me that he chose to stay calm and somewhat level headed until he brought his evil family down. Then he meet Ashley and she showed him love . I won't give the end away or what are all the juice parts to this story are. Just that this takes you thru some highs and some very lows but I have to say luved every bit of it and this will be one of those books that will definitely go into my favorite list and be read over and over again. Thank u!
I read a lot of books, and usually find the "Billionaire Romance" genre to be light, entertaining and instantly forgetable. But Sonora Seldon developed her characters so deeply and thoroughly that I felt a real connection - I read it a few weeks ago and still scenes and parts of the book come to mind. One critic commented that it was too long and dragged out in places - I thought the author was cleverly making us feel feel exactly what her heroine felt as she tried to understand the deepths of Devon. Perhaps a "spoiler alert" here I also respectfully disagree with a reviewers comment that Devon's language was too formal for their intimate relationship - I saw that as one of the clever ways the author showed us how damaged his psyche was - that he could not let down the shields of formality to get closer to her. . Well done. I look forward to more from this author.
I absolutely loved this book! This is the first book I’ve read where the main character is not a size 0 and an overly endowed bombshell. Ashely is 100% true to her full figure and Devon loves her curves.
Their love story is filled with drama and had me hooked from the beginning. Throughout the book you will keep trying to figure out what the “special project” is and when it’s revealed you will give 3 cheers to Devon.
Definitely at the top of my Best Reads collection!
This is a long, complicated book but very compelling. You definitely get your money's worth. I don't know if I would say it is so much of a romance as a dark, emotional story of abuse and mental illness. There is nothing light and fluffy about this. Having said that, I would still recommend it as I kept wanting to know what would happen to the H and h. I think the author has real talent but could improve with an editor (to shorten it and tighten it up). She did a good job of showing how insanely rich the H is but I felt the HEA was wrapped up too quickly and did not ring true to life. In reality, the H would need tons of therapy and probably some medication.

I really loved this story story it was a good love story the charactors were good together. I liked how Ashley stood up to the people who were mean. I would have really liked to see her get a hold of Devons Aunt Emily or whatever her name was and kick her butt. The only thing I had a problem with was all the talk about her weight but mostly how much food she ate. But i would really recommend this book I love the strong connection between Devon and Ashley I loved how he talked to her and wasn't afraid to let her know that he needed her help.
Five Minutes Late A Billionaire story was different than any other billionaire story I've ever read. It's quirky, dark, inspiring, powerful and sad. But it does have a HEA! The characters in this book are a testament to the human spirit.
The book is told primarily from the POV of Ashley Daniels. She's a young woman trying to eke out a living in a world that hasn't been particularly kind to her but you'd never know she had ever had problems. She's generous, caring, witty and full of fire! And she doesn't take crap from anybody.
Devon Killane is the very handsome, buff and "as*^h*&e extraordinaire" as Ashley refers to him. He's a billionaire who on the outside appears to be a callous jerk with no feelings.
Author Sonora Seldon gives the reader a strong introduction to her characters right off the bat but she then slowly revels the true nature of each character throughout the book.
Although Ashley is the big girl that is somewhat insecure about her body size, she is also the strong one in this book. She accepts herself the way she is and other than being in a dead end, low paying job she is happy with her life.
Devon on the other hand is a powerful businessman who is not to be messed with. He can be ruthless in his business dealings, making him a very successful and wealthy man. Wealthy to the tune of over 68 billion dollars! But life has been unkind to him as well and he is miserable. Until he meets Ashley.
When Devon catches Ashley coming in late to work one day he chastises her in front of a lobby full of people. He then sends for her to come to his office. Fully expecting to be fired Ashley is shocked when Devon instead makes her his personal assistant. A job she has no qualifications for and has never done. But Ashley rises to the occasion.
Devon sometimes seems to have multiple personality disorder and everyone around him are afraid of him and his moods. Before Ashley he went through personal assistants like water through a sieve.
Ashley acts as a buffer between Devon and the world. She protects her boss fiercely. While Ashley attends every business meeting with Devon they put on a charade that is hilarious making other executives nervous and scared of Ashley and her "consultations" with her boss, Devon. But there is one project that Ashley has no idea what it is about. It's known as the "Secret Project" and Ashley is clueless as to what the big secret is. The "Secret Project" is a vital part of the plot in this book and is a mystery that is revealed all in good time.
As Ashley grows closer to Devon she begins to wonder and worry about his strange moods. Through patience, time and caring from other people in his life Ashley begins to understand a little about Devon and why he's the way he is. And OMG it's horrible what made him who he is today.
Five Minutes Late is a well told story that addresses some heavy issues and does it well. This book is intriguing, has well developed characters and a plot that will have you mesmerized and guessing throughout the book.

I had one problem with the book and it's a spoiler so don't read this if you don't want to know ahead of time. Spoiler Devon suffers from panic attacks and the author lets him suffer through them with no help. As someone who also suffers from panic attacks I want to let everyone out there know that you do not need to suffer as Devon did. There are medications that can be taken to help prevent panic attacks or once you're having a panic attack the medication can relieve the symptoms within a 1/2 hour after taking the pills.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others who are looking for a different take on the billionaire romance storyline.
